School Closure Dates

Unfortunately due to a Student Open evening at Holy Cross College the school regretably will be closed for two lessons.

Thursday the 27th of November & Tuesday the 2nd of December 2008.

Normal lessons will resume on Thursday the 4th of December 2008.

Colour Belt Master Seminar & Grading News

The next Colour belt Master's Seminar & Grading will be held on Saturday the 15th of November 2008 at Bolton Excel Centre.

The Master's Seminar and Grading will be conducted by Senior Master P.Cutler VIII Degree.

It is a requirement by the UKTA that all Colour belt students attend 2 Master's Seminars per year in order to qualify for Gradings/Promotions.

Those students that wish to attend the Master's Seminar or Grade/Promote need to inform Mr W.P. Rose V Degree as soon as possible.

UK OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008

On Saturday the 1st of November at Fenton Manor Leisure Centre, Stoke-on-Trent, the UK Open Championships was held and once again Manchestertkd have a fantastic medal Haul !!

This Championships was well attend as usual by the Welsh, Scottish, Irish & English.

Welsh Open Championships 2008 - Results

ManchesterTKD would like to congratulate Felix Lopez IV Degree (Assistant Instructor) and Anthony Thomas III Degree on their success at the 2008 Welsh Open Championships at the UWIC, Cardiff.

Felix came away with three Gold medals. The medals were won in Black belt Divisions IV Degree Pattern, +85Kgs Sparring and the Power Test.

Anthony also came away with a three medal success in the form of two Silver medals and one Bronze medal. The Silver medals were won in the Black belt Divisions -85Kgs Sparring and the Power Test, with the Bronze medal coming in the III Degree Patterns.

The next competition is the UK Open Championships in Stoke-on-Trent on the 1st November. Information can be found soon on the UKTA website competitions page.

Chief Instructor Mr W.P. Rose V Degree would like to encourage all students to attend this competition as it is the closest competition to our school making it the easiest for us all to attend!
